Room Measurement
Every room measured precisely — area, doorways, transitions and skirting requirements. Laminate waste is calculated at 10% for straight lay, 15% for diagonal.

What Does AC Rating Mean for Laminate in Dubai?
The AC (Abrasion Class) rating indicates how much wear the surface can withstand. AC3 (heavy residential) handles standard family home use — recommended for all living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. AC4 (light commercial) handles higher traffic — recommended for Dubai households with children, pets or frequent guests, and for offices and retail. Rex Line only supplies AC3 and above — we do not stock the AC1/AC2 grades sold in discount markets.
Laminate vs Vinyl Flooring in Dubai
Laminate has an HDF (High Density Fibreboard) core and is NOT waterproof — it will swell if water penetrates through the joins. For Dubai bathrooms and kitchens, SPC or LVT vinyl flooring is the correct choice. For dry living rooms, bedrooms and offices, laminate is an excellent and more affordable alternative to vinyl.
Laminate Thickness in Dubai
We supply 8mm, 10mm and 12mm laminate. Thicker laminate has better sound insulation, feels more solid underfoot and is more forgiving on minor subfloor imperfections. For Dubai apartments with concrete subfloors, we recommend 10mm or 12mm with a quality underlay for best comfort and sound performance.
